She earned her diploma from Horace Mann High School, and acquired her professional license in the field of Cosmetology from the Gary Area Career Center in 1990. From this achievement, she served her community as a Professional Stylist and Hair Care Advisor for over 20 years.
In 1992 LeShahn was joined, in holy matrimony, to her husband of 26 years, Superintendent, Bruce L. DeArmon, Sr. God blessed their union with four children: Anthony, Britini and Bruce Jr. (twins), and Breanna. They are also the proud grandparents of Carter Lenell, Brelaya LeShae, and Darrell Bellamy. They also stand as God–Parents to Taijah Graham, and LaJoia and Lazarius Shepherd.
Upon relocating with her husband and family in 1994, to Minneapolis, LeShahn began her career as an Administrative Assistant and currently serves as a Claims Processor, employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. Her gift made room for her to be called upon as one of several featured evangelists to minister the word of God during the Church of God in Christ’s 106th Convocation. First Lady DeArmon was blessed with the privilege of preaching before tens of thousands of God’s people, an opportunity she will always give glory to God for calling her worthy to fulfill such a Kingdom assignment. Evangelist, Beverly "Dee Dee" Trotter
Beverly Trotter was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and raised in Gary Indiana. I was raised in a good Christian home but decided that I was missing out on life and needed to see what the other side was like. To a rude awakening I then began a life of drugs, alcohol and promiscuous living. At the age of 30, God came in and captured my heart; and today I’m always looking for places to do meaningful ministry.
I am married to Pastor, Emmit A. Trotter and we are the proud parents of six children and 16 grandchildren. We moved to the Twin Cities in 1999 from Grand Rapids, Michigan where I did ministry from my local church Anointed Ministries Church of God in Christ and I’m now a member of Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, where Supt. Bruce DeArmon is the senior pastor. The Lord has blessed me with many gifts and a burning burden for women and children who are hurting, searching and finding no rest. It was only 27years ago when that woman was me. I’ve made a vow to God to share with men, women and children everywhere about his grace, mercy and love.
I have been evangelizing through the following ministries:
Pathfinders Resources for Women & Children, Grand Rapids, MI
Kent County Correctional Facility, Grand Rapids, MI
Crossroads Correspondence Prison Ministry, Grandville, MI
Workers for Christ Prison Ministry, Minneapolis, MN
New Vision Church Formerly Living Water, Minneapolis, MN
Licensed Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ
Former State Elect Lady of Evangelism in Minnesota COGIC
Former Program Director for Pressing Forward Women’s Shelter
Teach computer classes at the church
Mentor women at MN Teen Challenge
Ministers the Word of God
One of the founders of Help A Sista’ Out Ministries
Member of Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, Minneapolis, MN
Not only has God challenged me to do ministry, but to to help women to fulfill their dreams and ambitions. Often by the time we’ve hit bottom we feel like there is no better life for us; and I’ve found that to be so far from the truth. That’s when God can really use us. That is when He picks us up out of the miry clay and finishes the purpose that He had planned for us from the beginning. We just need guidance to Him, spiritually as well as physically.
God challenges me to teach computer skills, to teach work ethics, to help others gain the skills needed for employment, with the gift to encourage, and to teach others to love themselves, so that they can in turn love others. But most of all He’s given me a testimony that draws others to Christ.
